Connect Groups are small gatherings, either in person or online, where individuals come together to encourage and support each other within a caring community. Our goal is for everyone to find a place to belong and grow in their faith and relationship with God through these groups. We warmly invite you to join a group today! If you’re interested in hosting a group, please let us know!

Samira: I am a registered Psychotherapist and a graduate of Tyndale Seminary. I work with individuals, couples, and families from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. As a Christian, I am guided by the Holy Spirit in all that I do. In my private practice, Hope Haven, I collaborate with The Life Center in Newmarket to provide cost-effective and reduced-rate therapy sessions for those who cannot afford mental health services. Additionally, I work with various professionals, including pediatricians, teachers, and health administrators, to offer free support to parents of children diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and other conditions that make parenting challenging.
My faith journey is ongoing. I was born in Iran and moved to Canada 23 years ago. Through many highs and lows, I eventually welcomed Jesus into my heart. Before my baptism, I attended Bible studies and both English and Farsi church services. I had the privilege of serving wherever needed, including translating Bible studies for Farsi-speaking Christians who struggled with English. Over the years, I have served in many areas, and I am currently involved in teaching Sunday school at my local church. This has been a blessing to me, and I pray that God uses all our gifts and talents for His glory.
I live with my husband, two children, and our dog Dexter. I enjoy gardening, sewing, and reading books of all genres, including theological and counseling literature.
I look forward to meeting all of you.
Blessings, Samira
