He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord… He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker; Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard. There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.
Whatever you do for the poor, you do directly to the Lord. God is indebted to you when you give to the poor. The poor, especially those that cannot pay you back are God-given assets/investments for your increase. In God’s kingdom you get rich not by accumulating riches but by becoming a distributor of wealth.
Do I present myself as eyes to the blind?
Pray: I declare that I am eyes to the blind, feet to the lame. I am a blessing to the poor, a compass to the lost, a deliverer to the oppressed, and a strength to the weak.
