The church of the Acts of the Apostles grew rapidly in daily membership. No doubt, the church influenced the community and the way they shared love must have won the hearts of the people. Influence with people is a key to success. Jesus did not only increase in favour with God. He also increased in favour with people and was able to influence many.
You build influence on one person at a time. As a pastor, I used to have this attitude of “I don’t care what people think or say about me. I will just focus on my work.’ But the Holy Spirit rebuked me and said, ‘There is a need to care! Their attitudes may not stop you, but it will prevent them from receiving from you. You need influence with the people to be able to change them. So be careful how you treat people.
How do I treat people?
Pray: I pray that I will be a likable person, I will be celebrated, and rewarded. My influence with people will increase in Jesus’ name.
