Happiness does not come with more money. Ralph Barton, one of the top cartoonists of the world left this note pinned to his pillow before taking his own life: ”I have had few difficulties, many friends, great successes; I have gone from wife to wife, from house to house, visited great countries of the world, but I am fed up with inventing devices to fill up twenty-four hours of the day.” Like Barton, many make the mistake of seeking things that never satisfy. Only God can give true satisfaction!
Remember the words of Jesus, “…Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot.” If you desire true satisfaction, Jesus said, “…Let anyone thirsty come to me and drink.” He calls us to a meaningful relationship that gives life its full thrust. A fellowship where the father God, fills all our desires with good things. Even to overflowing.
Does serving God bring true satisfaction in my life?
Pray: May the Lord satisfy my mouth with good things in Jesus name.
